Could eating at Chick-fil-A every day for a year change your life? It did for Alton Ward, former Texas native and Texas A&M student who now lives in Denver, Colorado. He says he was able to lose 140lbs eating most of his meals at Chick-fil-A stores.

At 17, Alton weighed in at about 355lbs. Ward said, "I tried all the diets, Jenny Craig, Atkins, no carbs ... juice diets, the lose 10 pounds in 5 days, all the different things, and none of it worked for me."

The turning point was when Alton went off to college at Texas A&M University. With a Chick-fil-A on campus he knew he'd have some healthy options to choose from. Ward explains he would go there for several meals each week. On hot days he'd go with the grilled chicken wrap, and on colder days he would order soup. He also opted for several salads with a small side of ranch dressing.

These healthy choices along side a dedicated workout schedule all contributed to Alton losing 140lbs in about 11 months. That journey began for Alton 4 years ago. To this day he has kept the weight off. Ward is about to move back to Texas to take on a sales position in Houston.

He says:

I think Chick-fil-A is a great brand. It's literally helped me change my life because I was on my way to a heart attack or just having a stroke or diabetes in every way. So, I was able to find food that tasted good where I could have a variety of options.
