Can ‘Poltergeist’ or ‘Tomorrowland’ Steal the Box Office

Two major releases are hitting the theaters this weekend.  The major question is, can they challenger "Pitch Perfect 2" and "Mad Max: Fury Road"?

I think the answer is a resounding NO for the 'Poltergeist' remake. The exact same movie as the first one you saw in the 80’s, except Carol Anne isn’t blonde. Same premise, family moves to great looking subdivision and then evil spirits steal Carol Anne. Yeah they are back in that closet and in the television.

Poltergeist stars Jared Harris, Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Kyle Catlett.  Who are those people?  I know Sam Rockwell, but that is it.

Even though the "Tomorrowland"  trailers look pretty lame to me.  It may have a chance at number one because it has George Clooney. Hugh Laurie is also in the picture along with more people I do not know. Raffey Cassidy, and Thomas Robinson.

"Tomorrowland" is about a teenager, a genius middle-aged man, and a girl robot who must find 'Tomorrowland" and save the world.  It’s in IMAX so that will bring in more money.

So I am going with "Tomorrowland" at number one, "Pitch Perfect" at two and "Mad Max" at three.
