Times were a changing back in 1968 as a story about killing a cheating lover was a hit on the radio.

I delivered pizzas in college. The delivery car only had an AM dial, so all I listened to was the oldies channel.

On one delivery I heard a song by Tom Jones. It came out in 1968, and was about a man who killed his woman after she cheated on him. WHAT THE HECK!? This was a hit in the 60s? Man. I bet people missed the 40s & 50s. You just beat your kids, then asked for forgiveness on Sunday...

Now people were singing about murder on the radio. I even brought this up when I delivered the pizza. For some reason, making light of murder doesn’t help tips. Odd.

I made it a point to get Tom Jones and Delilah on the cassette as soon as possible, because, gosh darn-it, insecure love violence is catchy. Here's a video of the song from Top of the Pops. It's horrible. The lipsinc is way off, but I just found it humorous to see kids dancing to a song about murder. Yea, I've got issues. What about it?
