Belton Fourth Of July Kick Off BBQ is Today!

Volunteers start dishing out the food at 11:30 am in Yettie Polk Park. I will be there!

Everybody is invited. It's $5 for adults, $3 for kids. Not bad for some delicious BBQ! You can eat in the park or take it with you. Take some back for the folks stuck in the office.

The BBQ Kickoff is the first event in Belton's Fourth of July Celebration. The carnival in the park opens tomorrow. While over at the Bell County Expo Center the Western Gift Show and the Rodeo begin. The All American Cowgirl Chicks will be at the rodeo, along with usual roping, riding and racing.

Of course the famous Belton parade starts at 10 am, downtown Belton on the 4th. Then comes the festival on Nolan Creek, with Holly Tucker , "The Voice" Contestant.
