James Franco Accused of Sexual Misconduct Following Golden Globes Win
When James Franco picked up a Golden Globe award last night for his portrayal of Tommy Wiseau in The Disaster Artist, his seeming refusal to let Wiseau himself speak wasn’t the only thing that drew criticism on social media. Franco, who wore a “Time’s Up” pin to support the protest against sexual harassment and assault, was swiftly called out for his hypocrisy on Twitter by multiple women — including actress Ally Sheedy, who previously starred opposite Franco in a 2014 off-Broadway production.

Rare ‘Breakfast Club’ Deleted Scene Takes You Inside the Girls’ Bathroom
Over three decades after The Breakfast Club first charmed audiences, John Hughes’ high school classic still resonates with young viewers despite the growing generational divide. The years since its initial release have proven that The Breakfast Club is timeless, so it’s about damn time The Criterion Collection gave Hughes’ film the prestige upgrade treatment. The January 2 release will include never-before-seen footage and deleted scenes, like this newly-unearthed clip of Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy.
Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson Top List of Highest-Grossing Actors in 2017
It looks like Vin Diesel has bested Dwayne Johnson in at least one arena, clocking in at number one on Forbes’ list of the highest-grossing actors of 2017 — and throwing a little more fuel on that Fast & Furious feud (say that five times fast). Thanks to The Fate of the Furious and xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Diesel edged out his Fast co-star / arch-nemesis, and with fewer 2017 releases under his belt.
‘48 Hrs.’ Remake Coming From ‘Good Time’ Directing Duo and Jerrod Carmichael
Today’s news is…well, it’s not great, Bob! Between the FCC repealing net neutrality and Disney’s acquisition of Fox (which means good things for your favorite characters, but bad things for filmmaking and studio employees), headlines are pretty upsetting right now. We’ll take whatever sliver of optimism we can get, especially when it’s something as surprising as Josh and Benny Safdie directing a remake of 48 Hrs.

Patrick Stewart Wants in On Quentin Tarantino‘s ‘Star Trek’
Quentin Tarantino is not only developing a Star Trek movie with J.J. Abrams, but he’s convinced Paramount to let him make an R-rated feature. And if Paramount can get behind that wacky insanity, then who knows what other zany tricks are up Tarantino’s sleeve — all of which is to say that maybe we shouldn’t be surprised every time there’s a new story about this movie. Anything is possible, including the potential for Patrick Stewart to reprise his role as Jean-Luc Picard, which is exactly what he’d like to do.
Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Star Trek’ Will Be Rated R, Potential Writers Revealed
Well that was fast. Although we’re still mighty skeptical about Quentin Tarantino actually directing this thing, his Star Trek pitch is moving along rather quickly. The director has met with a trio of writers, with one reportedly emerging as the frontrunner to script the new Star Trek movie based on Tarantino’s idea. But the most interesting part of the latest update on this wacky concept is that Paramount has agreed to Tarantino’s stipulation that the film be rated R.
‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Featurette Reveals Jeff Goldblum’s Return
Universal is releasing several sneak peeks and promos for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in the lead up to tomorrow’s debut of the first trailer. Today’s offering is arguably the best so far: A featurette that takes you behind the scenes of the upcoming sequel with director Juan Antonio Bayona, co-writer and producer Colin Trevorrow, and the cast — including Jeff Goldblum, making his highly-anticipated return to the franchise as Ian Malcolm.
New ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Teasers Feature Sleepy T-Rex and a…Dino-Cat?
Universal is gearing up to unleash the first official trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on Thursday with a series of new teasers for the upcoming sequel. The studio has released a total of five teasers since yesterday; at this rate, you won’t even need an actual trailer by the end of the week because you could probably stick all of these clips together via digital glue and make one of your own.
