Police have issued an arrest warrant for 35-year-old Rico Doyle, the prime suspect in a shooting that killed two women and injured three other people at a Killeen apartment complex early Tuesday morning.

Police responded to 420 Gilmer Street shortly before 3:30 a.m. after receiving multiple reports of shots being fired. When they arrived, they found several people with gunshot wounds. Two women were pronounced dead at the scene and three other people - two women and a man - were transported to Mextroplex Hospital and Baylor Scott and White.

Investigators turned their findings over to the Bell County District Attorney's Office, which returned a murder complaint against Doyle. Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke then issued a warrant for his arrest on murder charges.

The names of the victims have been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
