What is the most terrifying aspect of flying for you?  Is it the act itself, or is there one aspect you would love to do without.  For example, flying during the winter.  There is something scary about watching your plane being deiced before takeoff that sends chills up and down the spines of some.  Or is it flying in a thunderstorm.  Seeing a plane getting attacked by lightning could cause others to have nightmares.  Plus, the pilot has to land the plane hard in wet weather to make sure it doesn't hydroplane down the runway.  But, it you were to just chose one aspect of bad weather, for me, it's the wind.  Check out these takeoffs and landings in high wind this past winter from Birmingham Airport.
