Gambling is still illegal in Texas, but anything goes 9 miles off the coast.

If you enjoy gambling, then head to Galveston. KVUE is reporting that there's a cruise ship there called the Jacks or Better Casino. Looks are a little deceiving. When it's docked, it's simply a boat, but once that boat gets 9.1 miles away from land, it suddenly becomes a casino.

Place your bets. Place your bets.

The price to get on board is only $15. The cruise will last at least 6 hours, and the ship leaves Galveston two times a day Wednesday through Saturday and once Sunday.

If you want to make plans, Wednesday through Saturday there's a day cruise at 11 a.m. and evening cruise at 6:30 p.m. On Sunday, one cruise will do you since most people need to go to church first. That cruise will leave at 1 p.m.

Of course, for those of you who are not addicted to gambling, the obvious problems sort of jump out at you. One, if you get into money issues out at sea, odds are you might not make it back to the dock. Also, it's a boat. Boats sink, or at least they hit things.

Click 2 Houston is reporting that the ship crashed into a buoy Saturday. A deep scratch can be seen that goes almost the entire length of the ship.
