If you find out you're going to be a grandfather for the first time, what do you do? If you're Jimmy White, you build an amusement park in your backyard.

White told KTRK he started planning it the moment he found out he was going to be a grandpa, and now his granddaughter is old enough to really enjoy it.

White put together a Ferris Wheel, a carousel, and a roller-coaster using scrap material and PVC pipe in the back yard of his home in Decatur. The one cart is attached to the PVC pipe. He admits that all he knew about roller coasters is that they're ''gravity" fed, so he started in at the top of his 2nd story balcony.

The coaster is currently grandpa-powered, so White has to push it back up to the balcony once the momentum stops the cart. He doesn't seem to mind. He claims that he'll build a motor later, but for now he's just enjoying his granddaughter's fearless enjoyment of the homemade coaster.
